  NOUN & ITS TYPES WITH EXAMPLES  Noun A noun is a word used to refer to people, animals, objects, substances, states, events, ideas and feelings. A noun functions as a subject or object of a verb and can be modified by an adjective. Examples -  John, lion, table, freedom, love I live in United States of America. Emma is my sister. The IELTS test is scored on a scale of 0 to 9, with 9 being the highest possible score. The test taker's overall score is calculated as an average of their scores on the four components of the test. The test taker's score on each component is also reported separately.
